I noticed the snow had melted, mostly from salting the road along a grassy area between a sidewalk and the old Sergeant's club across from where I work on the army post.  I gave it a try and the shovel went into the dirt like butter.  Thought this would be a great place but remembered the front entrance was closed and they had a rear entrance, mostly because drunken troopies would stagger out of the club, take a few steps and end up in the road, LOL.  There wasn't much area to detect but I found a hand full.    Here is an army unit crest, I have not researched the unit yet.

An M60 machine gun blank, a few 7.62 bullets and a musket ball.

A few coins, lower left is a 1910 German 1 Pfennig coin.

I was not sure what this is, still not positive but, I think it is a small bowl or crucible for melting lead and casting musket balls.  It is 3 ¾"/95mm wide and made of brass, oval bowl.  Has consistent markings that look to be from grabbing it with tongs or pliers.   The ends have pour spouts and are more obvious in this view.  This is the outside.  Penny for size.

Inside of the bowl.  Has a different patina.  Maybe someone can help better ID it.  It was great getting out even if it was a quick 30 minute lunch hunt.  HH, Mike
