Eher eine Ringschnalle als eine Ringfibel (die typische Kerbe der Dornhalterung fehlt). Datierung: 13.-15. Jh.
Oder ein Fürspan bzw. Fürspann ?

nein kein Fürspan und auch kein Heftlein dies wäre die modernere Bezeichnung für die Fibel.
Ist aber leider keine.

Zu was diente wohl die Schanlle, sie ist ja recht filigran ? Hat jemand Bildmaterial zum vergleichen ?

Interesting topic Awo!
I did the comparison of single loop buckles and annular brooches (using http://www.ukdfd.co.uk/) from the same period of time. What can be seen is that the diameter is not the discriminating feature. The main difference I noticed is that in the case of brooches the frame is narrow in the place of junction with pin (I have no idea if it has decorative and/or functional significance). In general you can also observe that the pins and frames are less decorative in the case of buckles.

ich hab die Ringschnalle in wasser eingeweicht, um noch etwas Schmutz wegzubekommen...jetzt scheint sich auch etwas Patina zu lösn, ist das normal ?
wirklich der Hammer, was in England für Funde gemacht werden !? Ich würde mich gerne mal mit Englischen Sndlern austauschen :-)
